I'm José Flores — a bilingual operator and founder. I run marketing and operations for a family restaurant, I founded a software company that helps people start businesses, and I've opened a food truck at six in the morning. I show up, and I finish.
Four operations running at once, in two languages, while finishing school. Here's what that looks like in figures.
Strong work ethic. Great attitude. Always learning. I take pride in showing up, working hard, and helping businesses grow.
I'm José Flores, based in Altadena, California. I've been working since I was old enough to hold a trimmer — my family's landscaping business, since 2018 — and I never really stopped.
Today that means three things at once. I run marketing and operations for Tacos Poncitlán, a woman-owned heritage restaurant, where I'm responsible for the growth strategy, the catering pipeline and the brand. I open and close Estelar, a Mexican food truck, and I built its social presence from nothing to 50,000+ organic views in a month. And I founded FLX Create LLC, where I design and build software that takes the paperwork of starting a business off the person starting it.
Alongside all of that I'm completing coursework at Pasadena City College, working toward a transfer to USC.
What ties it together is fairly simple. I like the part of a business where something has to actually get done — the truck has to open at six, the order has to be right, the site has to ship. I'm bilingual, I'm comfortable in fast-paced rooms, and I'd rather learn something new than wait for someone to hand me the answer.
Open to work. The fastest way to reach me is email.
